AI Curator for photo studios

What if your studio had a curator?

AI Curator is an AI agent we're building for self-portrait and photo studios. It reviews each shot as soon as it's taken, gives a short tip for the next one, and suggests the ones that came out well. It never alters the original photos. The customer makes the final pick.

AI Curator · two ways

Subscribe, or have us build it

One AI Curator, two ways to get it, depending on your studio's size. Both are still in development. Either way, analysis runs on the studio PC and photos are not sent outside the studio.

Option 1 · SaaS

AI Curator subscription

For self-portrait studios and small studios. Currently for studios in Korea (Korean voice). Outside Korea, we start with a custom build.

Who it's for
Customers shoot with a remote, and tethering software saves JPG files to a folder on a Windows PC.
Setup
Planned: we install it on the studio PC and tune it to your lighting and camera.
Updates
Planned: updates install outside your shooting hours.
Support
Remote support is being designed so customer photos stay hidden on screen.

Monthly subscription · on request

Option 2 · Custom build

Your own AI curation agent

For larger studios, chains and studios outside Korea. We build it for you, then maintain it.

Build
Your branding, on-screen text, voice and language; rules for each type of shoot; and connections to the print or booking software you already use (scope agreed per project).
Maintenance
Compatibility updates, re-tuning when lighting or cameras change, and fixes.

Build fee + maintenance fee · on request

How it works

Shoot, check, pick

It works on each shot just after it is taken. Live-view guidance is not available yet.

  1. Your tethering software saves each shot

AI Curator reads new JPG files in that folder on the studio PC. We'll confirm which camera and software combinations are supported when we talk.

  2. Each shot is checked

Closed eyes, expression, cropped heads, shoulders or feet, the number of people, blur, exposure, and whether a pet has left the frame.

  3. A short tip for the next shot

One sentence on screen and by voice.

  4. The customer picks

It suggests up to 12 shots that came out well. The customer makes the final pick.

For Korean passport and ID photos, it checks the Ministry of Foreign Affairs rules and, when staff ask, saves a cropped copy as a new file. The original stays untouched. It does not guarantee acceptance. Other countries' photo rules are not supported.

Principles

Ground rules

It does not edit photos

No retouching, filters, background or face swaps. Original files are never changed or deleted.

It does not identify people

No face recognition and no face templates. It checks the shot, not the person.

Analysis stays on the studio PC

Photos are checked in the browser on the studio PC. They are not sent to a server or used for AI training.

Customers know it's AI, and can switch it off

Customers are told up front that the tips come from AI, and can turn them off with one button (labelled in Korean in the prototype). Privacy and AI rules differ by country, so before use we go through the customer notice and privacy wording with each studio. This is not legal advice, and in some places we cannot offer it yet.

Original Data proof

Register the originals you hand over

Studios will be able to register the original files they give to customers. The record keeps each file's fingerprint (SHA-256 hash), which studio registered it, and when. Anyone can then check whether a file they have is byte-for-byte the same as the registered one. DataPD does not receive the file.

It does not check whether the content is true, whether it was made with AI, who first created it, copyright, or legal effect.

LIVE ARCHIVE

Life in Visual Evolution

A timeline that will bring a customer's original photos and videos together in chronological order, such as yearly family portraits or a child growing up. Files will be kept only with the customer's consent, and they can ask for deletion.

Design stage · no sign-up or storage yet

Where things stand

AI Curator is an internal prototype, not yet released, and no studio uses it yet. Its first site will be Dr. Choi Photo Studio (최박사 사진관) in Daegu, Korea, a self-portrait studio run by DataPD that is preparing to open. We are building AI Curator so that other studios can use it too.

We are now taking inquiries and pilot applications from studios. Pricing is on request. Tell us your country and city, how many studio rooms or booths you have, your camera and tethering software, and the shoots you do most. Pilot availability depends on local privacy rules; we'll tell you whether we can support your location.

Please do not attach photos. How we keep and delete inquiry and pilot-application emails is set out in our privacy policy (in Korean).
